As you can see one of the sides is flattened, as a side is flattened I normally spin the beater around just (not very noticable from photo). Though you can see the head of the drum in the backgound has a dent in it from a while back, so i losended the head and bought a patch to prevent further damage but the beater has seemed to worn it aware too. The thing is im not even hitting the head very hard with the beater for it to be denting the head, so i was thinking maybe it had to do with the beater perhaps
Generally speaking unless the beater is damaged it shouldn’t need replaced. Some wear and tear is normal. Do you have a photo?
